Three Apps.
Three Months.
I’m Quay Garrett Emmons, a mom, marketer, and maker.
Each app solves a real-life friction point from my world. Reality TV. Vegan bowls. Natural hair care.
This isn’t a startup story. It’s a snapback to sharpen my skills and reclaim my creative voice.
Try the apps. Share your takes. Shape what comes next.
From Laid Off
To Logged In
On January 6, I got the call about layoffs. The job I’d poured nearly a decade into was gone.
I cried. Then I regrouped.
A friend said, “The chance to reinvent yourself doesn’t come often. Use it wisely.”
So I set a new challenge: build and launch three apps in three months. While raising a toddler and working full-time in my new job that I love.
Each app is a creative proof point. A system I wish existed. A way to reclaim rhythm and confidence after motherhood and burnout tried to take it.
This isn’t a snapback to a pre-baby body.
It’s a snapback to momentum, agency, making fun projects for myself.
Let’s build.
Designing for Someone I Know Really Well: Me
I don’t build for imaginary user personas. Each app is grounded in ADHD systems, cultural clarity, and a real problem I wanted to solve.
If it helps me, maybe it’ll help you too.

Reality Rank
You want to merge all your show chats in one place? Me too.
Reality Rank is an app where fans of competition reality shows like Survivor, Drag Race, and Love Island can rank contestants, post hot takes, and discuss each episode together.

Bowl Spinner
You have food at home.
Throw it in a bowl.
Dinner decisions don’t have to be deep. Bowl Spinner helps ADHD brains and mixed-diet households make craveable meals fast. Tap to spin. Lock what you love. No more dinner dread.

Wash Day
When was your last trim? Idk either sis, log it in my app.
Wash Day is a natural hair diary to log maintenance, track routines, and discover new style ideas so your curls are always hydrated and healthy.
